Now being called Denniger fire, approx. Split Rock and Denniger Peak.......smoke seen from split( approx).......helio up estimates fire
at approx 5 acres, still gaining access,no eyes on fire per Chocolove on PC
We've been up at Weakland-Fawkes Park in Burland, which is an excellent vantage point to watch the fire. No crowning, no visible flames, looks well behaved. The chopper just left for the day, heading east.
Prayers for this fire to go out and no more this year! It looks like tomorrow brings a chance of showers but we don't need the lightning. More payers that we get an unusual amount of moisture through the end of Summer and through out the Fall and Winter.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
Between spending time with sister and watching for smokes on the east side of Bailey, couldn't check out the fire. Wondering if it was in same location as Snaking fire which was also on Derringer Peak. Did Bailey Estates evac anyone know?
Thanks!

"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government." Thomas Jefferson
No one was evac'd and if the winds cooperate hopefully no one will have to tomorrow. DSV has a topo map link that will show you where it is. As I look at it from the park it appears to be next to/near where the Snaking Fire was.
