“When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex. Only whit man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.” Indian Chief Two Eagles

Thanks for the updates.

Because of information on 285bound I got in touch with friends on Buddy who are aware of the fire.

THANKS!

Just FYI: we've got a link to the DSV Home Page and a link to the DSV feed on our Home Page as part of our partnership with them. You can also find them under the "Local, Calendar" drop-down menu at the top of the page.

Thanks SC.

Out today doing firewatch. Took a drive over to a good lookout place and watched the Derringer fire for awhile. At 1:30 this afternoon it was putting up smoke but looked very much like it was staying within the containment area, although it looked much bigger than 4 1/2 acres.

We could smell the smoke last night and this morning on the east side of Burland.

When I saw it the wind was gusting mildly kicking up smoke making it look more than 4.5 acres.

Not a clue, but wouldn't be surprised if it was a lightning strike based on rain/thunder/lightning we have had and location.

Drove over to lookout point yesterday about noon and thrilled to see it quiet, w/o one wisp of smoke.
