Conditions make firefighting difficult on Longhorn Complex

Elk Creek firefighters faced hot, dry weather and windy conditions Sunday, which made fighting the 17,914-acre Longhorn Complex fires on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota a battle.

Dry lightening storms continue to plague the area, sparking 13 new fires on Sunday alone.
