And are here to stay.
If people really wanted to know they would read and watch like you and others on this board do.
Worked out great taping the Olympic events. Saw what I wanted and skipped through the rest.
bumper sticker - honk if you will pay my mortgage

"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government." Thomas Jefferson
The skeet shooting was great, both men and women. The US guy had a perfect score, was the first man to win the gold medal twice in this event and the US is the first to win the gold medal more than once (or was it twice?).
I'm really sick of beach volleyball and Misty May-Tranor. You'd think she didn't have a partner. They must like the bodies and saying the name.
Hardly saw any archery, but I loved it. Saw a little of the kayaking trials. Would have liked more. Pairs diving was fabulous. Regular volleyball is good.
They show boxing and tennis for hours, preliminary stuff. I'd rather see something interesting.
The mens gymnastics last night was riveting. I couldn't believe they gave a better score back to the Japanese athlete who totally flubbed his dismount which gave the team the silver instead of the 4th place that they deserved, bumping the Brits down to Bronze and the Ukrainians out (There were a couple of cute Brit gymnasts on their team too. ). The USA team looked awful, but I only saw them compete on the vault - I hope they weren't that bad on every other apparatus. I'm always amazed at the grace and power they demonstrate; the things the human body can be trained to do are incredible - it's why I like watching the Olympics so much...to know what our physiology is capable of when honed with practice, determination, and passion. It's just beautiful.
It was neat to watch Missy Franklin win the gold, and the 1-2 American men placement in the 200m butterfly (I think, having a hard time remembering right now, too much swimming around in my head!). LOL Edit: it was the 100m backstroke I was thinking of, not butterfly. The 200m butterfly semi-finals were last night.

Way to go Team USA Fab 5! The floor routines that have energy, character, and enthusiasm are the best!
