I'd be a lot more alarmed about bears bearing arms and indiscriminately firing them...

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

This one actually made me log back on to reply. Love it and totally agree! I see bears every week and shoot guns and so do neighbors. People who call the police about a bear walking across the road or that they saw on the hill need to move back to where they see crackheads and drug dealers everyday and don't think twice about it. Either that or educate yourselves on where you are living and who your animal neighbors are. Seeing a bear is no reason to panic and start asking everyone what you should do. What you should do is Thank God that you live in such a beautiful place where you get to see nature so close up and personal which the majority of the world will never get to experience. Take a picture. Take it in and enjoy it. But stop acting like you just had a near death experience because you saw a bear in a tree. And stop thinking that you are under attack just because you hear someone sighting in a gun or target shooting or hunting an animal. This is America and people are allowed to do that here!

Signing off again, but thanks for this post Martin!

The same ones that complain about bears and wildlife are the ones that roll their trash out the night before. DOH.
Then they expect someone else to p/u the mess.
