Just thought I'd drop in to say "hello" to you folks.

I was missing Arabia, and flew over for a quick visit with friends.

Today's weather ---- hot ---- damn hot.......
(I think Robin Williams said that first)

Enjoy that Arabian summer heat! Hopefully you are enjoying your time with your friends in an air conditioned environment. Have a great time in Arabia and a safe, uneventful trip back to paradise!

Meanwhile back in Dogpatch I'm seeing some trees starting to change already and looking forward to the best months of the year, Fall and Winter! I'm thinking of starting a thread for people to guess the first snow but I need to decide where/what altitude to use as the point of reference, maybe someplace that as a webcam on it.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

How long a flight is a quick trip to Arabia? I am going to Europe at the end of the month and that Atlantic flight kills me.

ahopping? Hmmm. Wonder what I was on--meant shopping.

I dunno about Arabia, but it used to take me about 12 hours in good weather to get to the UAE. On the right airline, it's great. On the wrong one it's an eternity. I took Emirates when I had a choice. The flight itself was a treat. BB, who'd you fly with this time?

Maybe you're flying the wrong airline. Are you flying non-stop?

Denver to DC to Amsterdam. Not my call on how we are flying.

Lufthansa ---- I'm in the Star alliance miles club.

The route's not bad --- AD to Frankfurt to Houston to Denver.

Etihad flies from AD to Chicago --- but the flight is a little too long for me.

I like being able to stretch every now and then.

Flew an A-380 back!

Two words for A-380
dang big ---- no wait --- 3
incredibly dang big.

File Attachment:

The price of rugs in the muddle east went way up (the value of the Iran Rial is next to nothing, so they cranked their prices way up). I should have taken a few with me to sell back. It would have paid for the trip!
