An injured fawn showed up in my yard yesterday and it appears that the fawn got caught in the fence and the hoof on its back leg was ripped off. I know this because I found the hoof still entangled in the fence. I have called DOW and since the fawn is still getting around and eating and mama is still close, I was advised to open my gate so the fawn could get out of my yard and pretty much let nature take its course. Sometimes they survive and sometimes they don't. If DOW comes out they will put the fawn down.
This is in the area of Burland Drive and Pinion Rd in Burland Ranchettes.
