Free Training in Elk Creek's EMS-Provider Program

The application period is now open for Elk Creek’s new EMS-Provider program.

No previous experience necessary – all training provided free of charge at Elk Creek Fire station 1 in Conifer, CO.

REQUIREMENTS
TO ENTER THE EMS-Provider TRAINING PROGRAM:
-Be at least 18-years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
-Hold a valid Colorado driver’s license & eligible to work in the US.
-Submit a completed application on or before August 21, 2012.
-Attend a meeting on Tuesday Aug 21, 7:00pm at Elk Creek's station 1.
-Attend only the classes needed to obtain required certifications.

REQUIREMENTS
TO COMPLETE THE EMS-Provider TRAINING PROGRAM:
-American Heart Association BLS-CPR
-Colorado Medical 1st Responder or any Colorado EMT level
-Colorado Hazmat Awareness level or Operations level
-FEMA’s Incident Command I-700, I-100, I-200 (online)
-Elk Creek’s EMS Academy (required for everybody)
-DOT Physical exam and Elk Creek EMS Physical Agility Test

SCHEDULE:
Application deadline: Aug 21
Meeting & Physical Agility Test: Aug 21
1st Responder class (if needed) Sept 5, 12, 19, 26, 29, Oct 3, 10, 17, 24, and 27
BLS-CPR class (if needed) Sept 15
EMS Academy (for everybody) Nov 7 and 14
Hazmat Awareness class (if needed) Nov 19 and 28
Graduation Dec 9
