The vehicle was found soon after Romero was reported missing, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department stated.
The park remains closed during the search, the Sheriff's Department stated.
Officials said Romero is an avid hiker and mountain bike rider who has used the park frequently over the past 12 years.
