Interesting afternoon today. Pickup truck goes roaring down the road about 30-40 miles over the speed limit, turns into ball field parking lot, does a doughnut and roars out and up the road again. Repeats, but as roars up road, suddenly becomes quiet.
A few minutes later the PC deputies ask if my truck was out today because they had a call about a pickup doing doughnuts in the ball field parking lot. I told them I did not have my truck out but had seen it and whoever called it in got one of three things right about its ID (although the make I couldn't identify).
I told them it either went up the road or into another spot and I thought the other spot might be the place since there was no noise of it going past my house. The deputies split up and the next thing I heard was a roaring and then saw the truck and a deputy chasing it out of the "spot." They ended up in the ball field parking lot and the other deputy then arrived.
Took a while and extra private vehicles showing up before everyone cleared out except the truck. I don't know if I can take this much excitement around here!!! :VeryScared: rofllol
They were very professional with me. I have no gripes about PC deputies.
I just thought it was funny about the two things about the truck that I KNEW were right were incorrectly given to the dispatcher by whomever called it in. But maybe they were farther away than I was. And I didn't call it in because I thought he was done with his foolishness.
Here I am assuming it's a guy and I didn't see the driver.

All joking aside, I have only had one interaction with PC and they were professional and courteous, I can't complain personally. So far!

Nice they found them. Hopefully the deputies were able to get a message through about the dangers.
There are some good deputies but still too far and few between. Listened to two recently when a friend had her cell phone on. They were more like Barney Fife. They had a chance to stop some stupid idiots from firing their rifles recklessly but they weren't going in there because the area was too large. Really how stupid is that? The second time they were spotted, the only deputy was working a car accident and all the others were in a meeting. That is what dispatch said. Maybe we could hook up some of the reckless shooters with the brainiacs at the Sheriff's dept. then maybe a lot less morons.

Did anyone hear a shotgun going off repeatedly between 11:30 pm and after midnight in Burland? Initially I thought it might be about a bear invading but it was continuous during that time. Not exactly the best time to target practice.
