My Mountain Town has pledged to support this effort 100%, and we urge everyone to get involved! There is a ton of evidence that building trail systems boosts local economies and directly increases profits of businesses, brings homeowners to the area and raises property values, and raises living conditions of areas in which they are built and supported. So far, the Bailey HUNDO Board of Directors, the Colorado Cycling League, the Colorado Mountain Bike Association, and the Platte Canyon Chamber of Commerce have also agreed to support the Bailey Trails! campaign. The effort is in its early stages, with much planning, fundraising, and bringing all impacted parties together to plan this with the community in mind; but, we're confident it is a good thing for the community and want to make sure all voices are heard and considered during the planning. We'll keep you posted as news comes along, or you can Follow the Bailey Trails! Facebook page yourself as well! Thanks!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
It would be interesting to find out how they plan to get access from Slaughterhouse Gulch to Bailey or 285, that has been closed a long time and is thru private land I believe. No access says the FS sign.
