Foothills Animal Shelter, a nonprofit, intergovernmental organization providing animal shelter and rescue services to the Jefferson County community, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper.
The Bookkeeper will perform a variety of daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions in order to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and resulting reports. Working closely with the Finance Manager, the Bookkeeper will also support other administrative functions of the Shelter, including payroll preparation and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years bookkeeping experience, is highly proficient in QuickBooks, Excel and Word, and has a demonstrated understanding of nonprofit and/or government accounting practices. Accuracy, diligence, and good communications skills are a must.
