It seems to me that Dish is just trying to provide a great service and Gannet is worried about their revenue stream.
We have had Dish for years. They have been outstanding to deal with. Look at what they were willing to do for HC.
I don't think Dish is the villain here.
I personally think folks should contact Gannet and ask them to pull their head out.
As for those interesting shows........You can watch all of them on the internet. Full Episodes
I too am happy with Dish, but if this isn't solved by October 28 when the broncos play on Sunday night football I will not be a happy camper. I don't want to watch the game a few days later. They already lost AMC, this may be one loss too many for me to stay.

Since I'm not charged for local channels there's not much I can do but ask her to register my comment that I'm going to contact DirectTV tomorrow. We're ticked off -- several of the new shows on 9 are interesting.
If in fact channel 9 gets dropped, I'll call Dish and request access to an NBC station from another city. At least we'd get the network shows.
If they don't offer that, a discount is in order.
If this is about the Hopper, it's pretty sad since the vast majority of Dish customers don't even have a Hopper (it's pretty new). And yes, the Hopper does a great job of skipping commercials (prime time network stations only), but I could live without the feature. It also has the skip 30 seconds button which makes skipping commercials almost as easy (as do other DVRs).

Ok, in reality what I want is a vendor that can provide me with high speed Internet access, VOIP, basic cable television, and cell services in one lump at a better price than what I pay now. If I can find a single provider that can do it all I'll pass on the news to everyone and enjoy the savings!
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I'm gonna try to get my antenna working anyway. I can get channel 9.1, but it's pixelated and jumpy. I'm gonna try moving my antenna from the attic to the roof, and put on an amp. Anyone else done this?
