We had a herd of elk drop by yesterday morning. The ladies were just relaxing...

Now what's that red thing??

Oh, the male finally shows up. Must of been quite a party!

Anybody missing that swing? I just hope nobody was in it at the time.

Does that elk know it's hunting season? :VeryScared:

That is just a sad picture to me. I saw a similar pic over on PC and folks there were talking about how hysterical the picture was.
I worry about that big fella.

Male (bull) elk grow a new set of antlers every year, beginning when they are 1 year old. They shed these antlers every year in late winter or early spring and begin to grow a new set of antlers in spring.

THis is what bums me out about wildlife living in society. I do not think that is hysterical. That has to be uncomfortable.

Well my point was the hysterical comment on PC. It did not look hysterical to me.

Seeing as how you were all worried about him Batty, it appeared you didn't know. I'm guessing that rack is about 5 times heavier than that plastic swing chair.

Also makes him an easy target for a hunter.

once again....you miss the point. WHINE

Most of the reasons for hating to see a pic like that don't have to be explained to decent folks.

Sure hope the chair doesn't get in the way of his duels with other bulls.

Thanks for the pix pineinthegrass. Nice of them to visit. Hope they hang around and the bull keeps you awake all night with his bellowing. I wouldn't mind.
