I'm drinking a bottle of wine from the "Grow Your Own" store (next to the Yellow Barn in Conifer) It's really is great stuff!! Too bad I have work tomorrow!!
Yep, they just opened the wine tasting part of their business today, part of Aspen Creek Cellars (so brewed locally). The Bailey Barberian is the bottle I had, and it really is fantastic tasting stuff.

Yup, Aspen Peak Cellar's application to open a new tasting room at the current Grow Your Own store was approved last week! Grow Your Own is doing so well, they are moving to the bigger building on the property - I got to meet the owners at the Joint Mixer last week, nice people. The owners of the Yellow Barn are doing a lot to improve it, support their tenants, and get it registered as an official historical site (they rock too!)
We had the newly bottled Chardonnay at APC's Winemaker's Dinner to benefit IMHS last weekend and if you like oaky, buttery chardonnays, this is for you! They are closing their restaurant at the end of the month so don't forget to stop by and enjoy some awesome food (had an asparagus crab soup 2 weeks ago, and a pumpkin bisque last weekend, OMG).
Okay, done gushing.

Thank you all for wining locally!
Yes, we have added another tasting room in Conifer at Grow Your Own by the yellow barn. You will be able to taste, enjoy our wines by the glass or bottle as well as bottles to take home. There are currently 8 of our wines in stock over there, with more to come as they are being bottled. Leslie, owner of Grow Your Own is looking forward to meeting you and is very excited to have our wines as part of her business venture. Please stop in and check out her big selection of home gardening products as well.
Talk to you all soon,
Marcel and Julie

LOL! It was the combined Conifer Area and Platte Canyon Areas Chambers of Commerce evening mixer.
