I wish they'd given the method Coldwell Banker used to determine these, but liked the variety of states I wasn't expecting (NJ? Michigan?)

The 10 best U.S. suburbs to live in
Oct. 23, 2012

1. Cherry Hills Village, Colo.
At the top of the list: Cherry Hills Village, Colo., a suburb of Denver, where the median sales price of all homes is $1.04 million and the homeownership rate is nearly 100%. Coldwell Banker, using information from Onboard Informatics, a provider of real-estate data, gave the suburb a grade of 1,000 for its high scores on attributes including access to amenities such as grocery stores and banks, its proximity to good schools, ease of commuting by car and community safety.

I like the name of #6: 6. Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J. There are 2 in Michigan (one even outside of Detroit?) and one in Kentucky.

Totally disagree with their pick. The bedroom community of Jefferson, Colorado is much easier to get around especially on foot.

Actually I really like Golden the best in the Denver area. Fort Collins is nice too, and so is Durango. Cherry Creek, yechhh. Snobby 1%-ers

Jefferson probably lost points because of the lack of public transit. Cherry Creek should lose their ranking because RTD isn't really public transit. tongue:
