"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

First and foremost a warm welcome. I take it from the above posts that you were on another site others used to use. I do not recall you from there, hence a question. what inspires your nic?
First, as boring as it sounds, I once did a lot of (mostly volunteer) work with a few Renaissance Festivals for several years while I was younger. Outside the festival a few people would recognize me without my costume and remark, "Hey, it's that Renaissance Lady." At some other time I'll contemplate why people assume I would always be in long dress and bustier and not exist full time as a wench in 16th Century Europe.
Second, I first moved to Bailey 3 1/2 years ago following a divorce and wanting a major lifestyle change, which I think is why many people first leave the city for the mountains. I had also left my job to start new opportunities. The name "Renaissance Lady" seemed to fit as I was going through a renewal of life / rebirth. The name just jumped into my head as I was first discovering Pinecam.
