Union negotiated that into contracts in Ohio too. And Denver City workers get the same deal.
Personally I would like to see election day moved to the first Sunday in November. then everyone has time to vote.

My company pays me to vote. Up to 3 hours I think. I'll leave the office early enough to get to the ballot box.
