My parents-in-law celebrated their 71st anniversary the end of December. They were still holding hands and sharing kisses up to the end. Pop passed away this past Friday.

We always see love as something for the young, but decades of joy and sorrows can temper it into something that youths can't imagine. Watching my parents and in-laws care for each other through cancer, dementia and other illnesses is inspiring.
