This would seriously ruin your day, glad no one was hit.

Heads-Up for Westbound I-70 Travelers: A rock approximately the size of a car came down in Glenwood Canyon earlier today about two miles west of Hanging Lakes Tunnel at mile marker 122.9. Crews are breaking up the rock and hauling it away after only minor roadway damage. The outside/right westbound lane is currently closed and both westbound lanes will be closed intermittently as crews haul the rock pieces away and patch the small hole. Please build in extra travel time if you're heading through the area! — at Glenwood Canyon.

Great pic! I bet the hole in the ground was a couple feet deep though.
Usually this kind of thing happens in the spring time.

I like the way the soft supplant asphalt holds the hard rock in such an erect position.

Underwear changing moment. I once had that happen to me near Grant, not boulder size but bowling ball size and they did take out a transmission.

A driver talked with CBS4 about her close call with a giant boulder that fell onto Interstate 70.
“Complete shock, ‘Oh my god,’ and hit the brakes and turned to get away from it; and make a decision to stop or punch it,” Jones said. “

Charm Jones says the boulder was the size of a Volkswagen Bug, but there were also other, watermelon-sized boulders falling across the highway.
She's even luckier one of these didn't hit her while she was evading the big one! :VeryScared:
