A government lawyer’s attempt to get dismissed nearly $700 in traffic tickets given to the U.S. Postal Service is being met with a hearty and humorous, Heck no.

Two school-zone speeding citations and five red-light infractions by postal trucks in December. If they have that many infractions in ONE month, I wonder what their yearly total is?

Immunity? Ha

Seems to me the tickets should go to the driver, not the Gubbermint???

Funny story though. :)

I used to run red lights and speed when I was driving Fire trucks! LOL I didn't know you could do it to deliver snail mail.

I loved the examples cited in the traffic cam company's letter. Who knew postal workers could be drunk on the job or naked while driving???

Reminds me of a song:

Rolling Stones Far Away Eyes Lyrics
Songwriters: JAGGER, MICK/RICHARDS, KEITH

I was drivin’ home early Sunday morning
Through Bakersfield,
Listening to gospel music on the coloured radio station,
And the preacher said: “You know you always have the lord by your side”
And I was so pleased to be informed of this
That I ran twenty red lights in his honour,
Thank you Jesus, thank you lord.

I wonder how well that explanation would work in real life... :Whistle

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
