That's exactly what processed food is designed to do, and it's a big reason why so many of us are overweight. Yes, we are lazy too, but not eating fresh, healthy food makes it sooooo much worse. They need to get rid of high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, trans fats, BPA, and MSG - has anyone looked at the ingredients of a can of Campbells soup lately? You will have trouble finding one without MSG. So many crackers are made with enriched grains instead of whole grains so we aren't getting the fiber we need, the list is long of how badly we are eating.

Plus most modern junk doesn't really taste very good. Chemical aftertaste.
