Road conditions-Tuesday 3/12

For all those who have to drive to town this morning, roads are snowpacked and icy. Allow extra time. Added 50% to my commute, and I don't deal with much traffic at all!

Stay safe all!

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

Saw at least 4 cars off the road on the short section of I-70 I travel. I don't think CDOT was expecting this much snow. I know I wasn't.

It was just starting to snow in PJ when I left this morning. (before 6:30)
Saw several exciting events.

Car facing wrong way on ramp from c470 to wb I-70.

The car that had just been directly behind me at a stoplight in golden, spin at least 5 times (I think the downhill momentum kept him going because he had not been going that fast to begin with). Unfortunately, he was spinning right, when the road went left.

The multicar pileup that had part of 93 closed that was never mentioned on the radio.

The headlights (and flashers) shining from way down that hill on the other side of the road. Yes, someone had stopped up above

All in all, the roads were much worse down the hill than they were up the hill.
