Per Brooks employee......will be moving to K. S. shopping center...taking up residency at what was Raven's. Liquor license
in application now, will be doing some re-modeling (poss. expansion of outdoor patio) and should be doing business at NEW
location in June or July.....
IMHO.....Brooks is a great place......hope the new location works out......IMHO the current location is better......more room is wise, but as in Real Estate....location, location, and......location......
The ambiance, both inside and out, was awesome...somewhat upscale, but yet mountain mode. HERE'S the reason...as
with ALL of the stores that have vacated that center...WATER....the center was constructed with the UNDERSTANDING
THAT WATER WAS GOING TO BE HIGH COST ITEM. It is my understanding that ALL of the business were aware of that
issue going into their ventures. WATER cost at that location (Brooks) was just unsustainable. So-o-o, they are moving
elsewhere (as did most of the OTHER businesses.)......AGAIN, the energy balances out (karma)...the land was clear-cut,
with NO regard for mother nature (surroundings) and GREED was a prominent factor also....(JMO).....it is now a waste
land of empty windows and doors, foreclosed on and sold WITHOUT a profit. (my understanding).
The rents must be bad if it justifies a move like this...but I do notice I am more likely to get off 285 near King Soopers than go to the Safeway center. Just seems easier to get to and less of a hassle.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
We rarely go to the safeway center, it's just too much of a nuisance coming from Evergreen especially in the summer with all the weekend traffic on 285.
I've seen the liquor license in the window and have been wondering. This should bring some life to that part of the shopping center. Please tell the owners to smudge the place with sage to get rid of the bad juju in there from previous owners
