I live on Shadow Mtn. I homeschool my son, care for our homestead, blog, and sell at the Indian Hills Farmers Market. We are also involved with 4H and love animals. I have a small poultry “farm” and just started my first outdoor garden this season.
Welcome lostgurl303! I can't wait to make it to my first Indian Hills Farmers Market-between the weather and other events conflicting it hasn't worked out yet, but I'll get there. Would love to meet you! What do you make/sell?
Kudos on home schooling, I know I'm not cut out for that and greatly respect those who put in that time and effort to provide a great education for their kids. It sounds like you've got it all going on!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
I make all natural bath salts/scrub, sugar scrub and laundry soap. I sell seed packets in sampler sizes. I have aloe vera plants, dandelion greens, and sometimes herbs. I also have toy wooden swords my husband makes and soon shields that will come with paints so kids can customize them. I sell fresh eggs from my chickens. Soon I will have small bunches of flowers. I also make tote bags out of heavy duty plastic bags. I really need to get an online store going on the blog. It will happen soon.
http://www.barefoothomestead.com is my new blog and brand name, and what we call the homestead.
I really didn’t think I was cut out to homeschool either but I couldn’t leave him in public school with the pack of wolves and a principal who didn’t know how to handle a group of bullies.

Welcome! It sounds like you keep very busy. I'll need to find out more about the laundry soap.
