They say language evolves. Perhaps it has evolved with out taking me along. It seems that more and more frequently of late I hear things that just do not sound right.
I thought I would try to remember to record them here. Curious if others hear them the same way, or feel free to add you own.
While talking about the NSA a radio guy referred to something being different from something else by a degree of magnitude.
I presume he was thinking of orders of magnitude and confused it with degrees of separation.
I guess somewhat off topic BUT......VOCAL FRY is the most perplexing....young adults (girls mostly) have adopted this annoying habit
and it is extremely difficult to engage in a conversation....I attempt to be "open minded" and enjoy young adults BUT this trait (started
hearing it about 10 or 15 years ago) is ultra ANNOYING.....hard to translate/dis-cypher a conversation....just thought it was my age.
