Even if you get keys back, change out the locks. The hardest thing about doing the right thing is doing it. It's hard to hold the line while holding others accountable but it has to be done. Take a deep breath, know you are correct, and make sure your solution is implemented as you planned. Regrets? Work those off against the potential threats that could come to bear on you and yours in the future.
