Traffic being detoured this will probably be quite a mess for awhile to avoid the are if you can.

Accident is where the IREA building is, so detours are Mt Evans to Nova to Parker or reverse way around.

An alternative would be the frontage road that goes past Douglass Ranch and Elk Creek elem? That is the way I would go if I were going anywhere.

My wife called me from N Turkey Creek after seeing the traffic signs. I told her of the Parker>Nova>Mt Evans Detour. She just called and said they made her use Elk Creek Elementary frontage road. She is past it with little delay. Pick a good radio station and take your time. Say a prayer on the way up to if you like.

So are they not allowing people to turn on Parker? What about people who live on Parker or Nova or Mt. Evans? Seems like that would split the traffic so it would be safer on those side roads.

Did she say if 285 was backed up very much?

We have serious problem with traffic control on 285.....take some of the SWAT team and clerks and put them in the field....saving lives. Election 2013.
