Good to see a bike race at real elevations!

Are all the cars with bikes carrying along the riders' back up bikes in case they crash or have a mechanical problem?

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

One of the race officials told me that for every one bike there are 10 support vehicles.
they were down to about 150 riders so that is a lot of cars.

Those are the "SAG Wagons" - Support And Gear. They are there with food, water and any replacement gear needed in case they have a breakdown.

Glad it is gone from Breckenridge...forgive my frustration but all I wanted was to go home last night and ended up going 45 minutes back the way I came to get out of town. But then, Breckenridge has always had a problem getting people from one end of town to the other when the roads are blocked.

it was amazing to me to see the level of coordination and work that goes into an international race of this kind.
