*Note: There is a missing piece from the Q&A section with Anthony Fabian where we had to switch recording settings. The question asked was "Can you name which counties/county sheriff's elected to not participate in the lawsuit?" The video picks back up with him beginning to answer that question.

You're welcome! I was actually quite pleased to meet the two candidates for Senate District 22 (my district). Mario's presentation didn't impress me because he was a good orator, but did the usual bashing of the Dem candidate. I was impressed that he didn't back down from a pointed question about supporting civil unions, and he answered it very considerately. Afterwards, though, he came up to introduce himself to me and thank me for taking the time to videotape the meeting. He said something mildly derogatory about "the other side" and I asked him if he meant Democrats by that. When he replied yes, I smiled broadly and told him he was talking to a former Dem, and Rep, who was disenfranchised by both parties feeling each had failed to serve the People adequately and were both corrupt.
He laughed and instead of wandering off to find a more likely vote, we got to talking and I found him quite intelligent and thoughtful; he cares deeply about issues such as education and doesn't believe in spouting off quick sound-bite answers for deeper questions - we got into quite a lengthy and frank conversation that I found refreshing and enjoyable. I'll be checking out his record more.
I also spoke at length with his Republican opponent, Tony Sanchez. I found him very open and engaged, he didn't seem "seasoned" or polished which is fine by me. Unfortunately, I missed the last Tea party meeting (was out of town) when he got to do his presentation like Mario did this time.
If you ever wanted to now about the sheriff lawsuit in exacting depth and detail, Anthony Fabian's presentation is for you.
I look forward to learning more about Jeff Shrader. I highly respect Ted Mink, who has endorsed him I think, but I haven't explored if he has an opponent and who that may be.
I'm part of the Friends of Elk Creek Fire so you all know where I stand on that.
I'm thankful to the 285 Corridor Tea Party for taking the time to arrange these speakers and keep the community informed. I do not agree with many of their positions, or planned actions, but I 100% support getting citizens actively engaged in the democratic process and informing the voters. I'm thrilled they encourage me to come videotape and share their meetings now!

Thank you SC. I have never been to a Tea Party meeting so nice to see. And thanks especially for the minutes/hours into the meeting for various speakers. I don't live in Elk Creek District, although nice to get a feel for what they are asking for so I could pick and choose what is most important.
And you are one of the reasons why I chose to come to this website. I have watched some of your other videos and appreciate your taking the time to tape them and appreciate your involvement in this community.
Thank you WindPeak, I'm glad you've enjoyed them and found them useful - that makes it all worthwhile for me!
