I went up and over Conifer Mountain took me about 10 minutes it is clear at Kings Valley.
Hubby left at 3:30 and he sat on 285 between Old Safeway and the top of Richmond Hill for an extra 20 minutes.

You must be as fast a driver as pacamom...10 minutes is excellent time for those roads! Smart choice, though.

Lived up there for 10 years and you don't have to stay on the pavement.
Most of the roads up there they have done in recycled asphalt so no washboards.

I thought it moved rather well for the amount of traffic. Everybody was fairly courteous and zippered through with ease. I thought about taking the Conifer Mtn detour but really don't think it would have saved more that a few minutes. I never really stopped once.

I take Conifer Mountain all the time unless there is over a foot of snow at Staples or they closed the Schools early.
I am not as fast in the snow.

Besides still being backed up at the Old Safeway looks like things are building in front of IMHS.

Wonder if something happened at Crow Hill? Bailey has no traffic at all down by Aspen Peak Cellars.
Looks worse now at Safeway than it did earlier. Maybe because you can see the headlights now?
