For those who want to know what's planned ahead by the church building the chair, here's a Denver Post article published yesterday on the subject:

I've been following Pastor Michael for a little while now on Twitter and FB and I'm really liking what's happening with Journey Church - they are going to do great things for this community. This chair to me demonstrates how positive they are: they came together as a team and accomplished something spectacular.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Well SC, you know I'm your avid supporter -- but I really hate the chair. lol Especially if it will be accompanied by a host of additional Guinness Book/Records construction projects as suggested in the opening text of the article.

I prefer to see what man doesn't and can't make on his own, so it seems to me the chosen location is about the last place to have put the chair, let alone a collection of record-breaking objects. But I know there are lots of folks who view it as you do and am keeping an open mind as much as possible.

If what they said in the paper is true it is soon to be a pink chair.

I think they should have painted it orange for game but at least they got a big banner up.

The article said Jeffco had approved it "as furniture."
