Don't tell anyone

Since the rain held off I was able to go collect wood from the back part of our property (mostly north facing) and many of the aspens are starting to change.

I am not ready for summer to be over so if we keep it quiet maybe the rest of the trees won't know. lol

I'm hoping with all this rain that we get a gorgeous fall display of gold! The Platte Canyon Chamber is doing their 285 Gold Rush promotion again this year, we're still finalizing where we'll be, but hoping it's at Cabin Creek Saturday the 28th and very likely at Aspen Peak Cellars Sunday the 29th - have to videotape Emily's Ride from the roof again! Hopefully not in the rain this year...

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

I hope the freeze holds off so we can enjoy the aspens this year.

Between the drought and the early freezes we have been robbed the past 3 years.

I am thinking Indian Summer then maybe all my green tomatoes will have a chance to turn red.

Most are about the size of a golf ball maybe a little bigger.

Have never had a fried green tomato but this might be the first year we need to give it a try.
