Parkco Sheriff's Office in the news again

Well if it isn't one deputy then it's a former deputy.

Do you think maybe the top brass could stop bullying their personnel so that those lower on the totem pole learn how to be respectful and helpful to newer deputies instead of torturing them like they were? Even if Gore is confident that PCSO will win the lawsuit, how about we spare the taxpayers by treating all personnel with respect, that would be something new for Wegener, Gore, Hancock, etc. If it isn't clear to you, your methods aren't working. Clean it up Sheriff's Dept.

They aren't going to clean it up.. It works for them.. and the sad fact remains , the good citizens of Park County put up with it.

IF the county loses the lawsuit......the residents pay ALL costs......at a time when there is a paucity of tax dollars this may be very unpleasant. Also recall last year the "leader" of CO Highway Patrol took early retirement which was linked to a cultural issue very similar to this issue now in front of Park, as extensively reported in the Denver media......cultural change MUST start at the top and flaws develop over time based on signals sent the leadership........from my extensive experience. A few classes and hollow pronouncements are worthless.

Wow, all that stuff seems pretty tame when compared to my old workplace.

I'm confident that the Park County Sheriff’s Office will win the lawsuit in a jury trial.

Chances are high that they will because it is hard to win or prove a case in federal court. And PCSO knows that. But the point is if their staff and employees were properly trained they wouldn't be entertaining these kinds of lawsuits. Their procedures are sloppy, the lowest ranking deputy is at the mercy of his immediate abusive supervisor and the top brass just continues to look the other way.

We lived in Parkco during the Sheriff Hardey reign, we could see the writing on the wall and we left to an adjoining county. Unfortunately some family still lives in Parkco. Wegener was a screw up in southwest Denver and continued to be a screw up when he came to Parkco. He hasn't changed.

And could *** **** who works for a title company keep her big mouth shut about *** ******* being the sheriff and that if any new person has any problems to let her know. She ranks right up there with her husband.
