So are we going to have a task force that mulls a rating system for water prone areas including possible fees to help pay for water prevention efforts like they are doing for wildfire areas?
Task force mulls rating system for wildfire-prone areas
An 18-member state task force is moving closer to developing a plan to rate the risk of wildfire damage for homes in forested areas, including assessing possible fees to help pay for fire-prevention efforts.
JMO....Because the government agencies, state agencies and county agencies are working
from a DEFICIT basis....it would stand to reason they will start accessing home owners for
their residential decisions....i.e.in the city, the more water you use,the MORE you are accessed.
So-o-o what follows suite is IF you elect to live near water you WILL be accessed accordingly,
IF you elect to live in an urban interface/mountain loc you WILL be accessed accordingly.....
It gets back to INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY and the elected choices the individual makes...JMO
It should not come from the govt, but rather from an individual's insurance company. I have no issues with the private company I have contracted with coming out and assessing the risk I have, since they are providing the insurance for that risk. This is not a govt. issue.
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!
Rene, I might have my info incorrect, BUT doesn't FEMA provide assist in catastrophic weather
related issues?........either way, SOME one is going to pay and NOW the home owner is going to
be scrutinized for their elected choices......fire, fault lines, water, living at a base of mountain
where rock slides are known problem....IF the owner WANTS the view, the privacy, the premium
esthetic surroundings, then the ELECTED choice will be accessed and owner will be responsible
for $$$$....that's what I see coming down the pike.....JMO

Yeah were too busy paying for wars, a ridiculously bloated military, and multiple security organizations to protect us from the real threats that Americans face.

No sh**...Thats what they do, and the game is rigged BECAUSE THEY TAKE NO RISK. I would love to gamble like insurance companies do..Keep all the profits and socalise the losses
