It was a great turn-out at the Grand Opening of the new Pine Junction Park N Ride this morning! The video of the ceremony is still uploading, I'll post that later.
Getting ready to cut the ribbon:
The new bus stop! The green boxes will be filled with local newspapers.
Pictures of how the lot looked before construction:

After construction:
The new Pine Junction Park N Ride!
The 285 Riders Coalition:
Dave Apodaca was the RTD employee who had the foresight to purchase the property that this Park N Ride was built on, and many of his family members came out today to witness the dedication of his memorial and Grand Opening of the Park N Ride that was his dream.
A panorama of the new bus stop:
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
Ha. I know several of those Rider Coalition folks as "Bus People". People I used to ride the bus with. I also saw you SC. Did you see me waving as I drove by? Twice. LOL
Thanks for the pictures. It is nice they put in a comfort station for the drivers. It can get to be a very long ride for the drivers.
No, I didn't see you pacamom - you shoulda stopped in!
Sorry for the sound issues - being outside with cars driving by made it impossible to hear parts of the speeches clearly.
