Drove down 285 a bit ago and the fog started at Conifer Crossings, but got really thick in Aspen Park through Windy Point - could only see about 100 yards. It started clearing after Windy Point, and finally got underneath the clouds at about the RTD lot before Turkey Creek Canyon.
I passed a lot of vehicles whose drivers hadn't turned on their lights - this makes it harder for people to see you, especially those turning out onto the highway at Sourdough and Windy Point - please, please turn your lights on!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
It was even foggier around 4/ Visibility was prob. 100 FT in places. And yes, there were idiots without lights on. But I saw a great bumper sticker. "Stupid should hurt".
I'd like to have some ammended bumper stickers printed up:
Stupid should hurt, learn from your mistakes!
Perhaps as a companion bumper sticker:
In times of crisis have a look in the mirror. Did you do this to yourself?
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
