"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Popper is great. He's the ONLY artist I ever saw in concert (other than Lisa Minnelli, I don't like live concerts).

Elwood Blues (Dan Aykroyd) is not really a seasoned harp player. I can play a harp as good as he can.

I grew up with harmonica bands (like in the video I posted above). Not just solo harmonica players, but a whole group of harmonica players.

A harmonica was my first instrument. I still have a collection of over 50 harmonicas.

A lot of people don't know that you have a line of what they call "orchestra" harmonicas. You have chromatic harmonicas (lead harmonica capable of playing complete scales), bass harmonicas (very low tuned reeds, they are "blow" only harmonicas), chord harmonicas (arranged with holes in groups of 4 that play a complete chord) and various other unique harmonicas.

Harmonica orchestras are very popular in China even now. Some of these harmonicas can sell for as much as 1000 to 2000 dollars.

Even though you see Borrah in that video horsing around with his band (they were a popular variety act... humor and music combined) he was also a classical harmonica player, capable of playing everything from Beethoven to Paganini.

...and the next thing you know Bob's your uncle. But I digress. I'm a John Popper fan but I have to also say I appreciate learning more about anything and everything so thanks to Walter for the additional information on harmonicas and harmonica bands, that's information I wouldn't have likely come across on my own.

On a more serious note (puns fully intended), my "favorite harmonica player" after John Popper:

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
