Mountain Resource Center's Empty Bowls is going on today! They are having lunch until 2pm, then dinner from 5-7pm tonight in Conifer, then lunch tomorrow in Evergreen from 11am-2pm at the Lake House. You can purchase tickets online ahead of time, or get them at the door, it's $25 per person and you get to choose a bowl to take home that has been hand-painted by a donor.
Brooks Place Tavern's Chef Joe was serving excellent Chipotle Pumpkin Soup (make sure you add whipped cream!), Cabin Creek Smokehouse BBQ had a delicious Fireside Chili, JJ Madwell's brought Mushroom Soup, and there was also a tasty Chicken Noodle, and a Chicken Tortilla from places I've totally blanked on already (I really need to write things down more).
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
