Man this is just getting real old I would rather deal with cold than wind guess I get both this week.

Glad I did much of my shopping for Xmas on Saturday it was very nice in town and we ran into very few crowds except at Costco but that happens on any weekend.

Darned wind is enough to drive one nuts!!!! Bitter, bitter cold is no fun either, but if we don't have those winds it'll probably be tolerable anyway. Unfortunately, I have to go out to be somewhere every day the rest of the week....would rather curl up by the fire for sure.

I took out the sweep on our front door a couple weeks ago. Big mistake, now the wind comes in and plays a wide range of notes. Luckily the dogs aren't bothered by the wind. The downside of living on a ridge.

I came home to one less tree on the road. Or should I say one tree added to the road. Luckily someone had already moved the trunk out of the way so cars can get thru. And my neighbors have lost half their ranch gate. The winds hadn't been above 25 mph.

The harbinger of the storm to come? I'm reading the forecasts but so far I'm not convinced. Don't get me wrong, I think we are way overdue for a monster storm and it wouldn't hurt my feelings if this is one of several storms this season!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

Today coming home, I discovered two huge live trees blown down. Roots totally exposed. They were next to each other and just across from my neighbors gate that blew down. That definitely changes the view.

Total wind damage - 1 dead tree that blocked the road, my neighbors ranch gate (which they removed today) and the two trees.

I had to go walk around my property today when I got home to make sure I didn't have any trees down. Good thing I am just slightly lower than where the trees and gate are, and I didn't find any damage.

Now to wait for 2 ft of snow.....................................................
