Roads are pretty much snowpacked and icy. Plows are out, really no lane recognition till you get to C470. Added 50% to my commute, but didn't have any issues. Watch the bridges and overpasses. An SUV going to fast spun out just after Sheridan and slammed into the guardrail.
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!
Just got a phone call from hubby who works in Golden -- he was wanting to confirm that I was not planning on going anywhere today. He said the roads were not good, he drove 45mph most of the way in.
A friend rode with me today...drove to Alma (6 whole miles) and as visibility was pretty much not, decided not to chance Hoosier and came home; my friend agreed it was not wise to chance the pass. Called a co-worker and he told me there were white-out conditions on Hoosier and it was worse in Summit County.
Went out a few minutes ago and there's blue sky looking east...but lots of black ominous looking yuk looking west toward Breckenridge. Going to give myself a little more time tomorrow morning.
