The bus is still there at the moment, I drove by it this morning on my way to the Platte Canyon Chamber membership meeting. Last I read

they had a potential buyer for the business. Haven't heard if anything's final yet. Morningstar, they just decided they wanted to retire, not that business was necessarily bad.
It's a great place to meet, I hope any new owners keep the momentum!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Yeah, I liked going there myself but I have to ask myself why start a new business, gut an old school bus, buy all this expensive equipment, remodel the café part of it then retire after being in business up here for only approx. 6 months? Seems like an awful lot of work and could have not made that much of a profit to retire anyway. Something's missing here... :pop I think there is more to this story....but we may never know...
LOL, If I wanted to try out a new business with out building a foundation that would make it impossible to later try a different location, I would build it on wheels so I could move it or sell it to someone else that thinks a different location may be good for the portable business.

Maybe they just found out the retail restaurant business is a lot more work than they were expecting.

I had a chat with one of the outgoing owners today. I now find the published story completely credible. Nothing shocking or even confidential but I prefer not to disclose details of a private conversation here.
