GLORIOUS LIGHT.....Winter solstice will arrive tomorrow (Saturday) at 12:11 PM EST.....that's
about 24 hours away.....IF you are in Alaska on Saturday, you will hear the resounding salute...
TOMMORROW IS THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER......because at 62 degrees N the seconds and minutes and hours start accumulating VERY quickly....

I think I'm going to stick to my tradition for celebrating the Winter Solstice. Cold beer, hot popcorn sprinkled with butter and Cayenne pepper, and some beef jerky while parked in my favorite chair next to the wood stove.
