Because of a massive solar flare that has delayed a NASA launch, Colorado may get to see Aurora Borealis tonight. Midnight seems to be the best time to look.
I got to see them in Alaska years ago, and they were pretty neat.

Use the current Geomagnetic Activity level (Kp number) and then check the map below. Currently there needs to be a Geomagnetic Activity level (Kp number) of 9 for this to just be visible in Colorado.
But the website updates the KP number every two minutes (you have to refresh the page) and the storm can change intensity during the course of the evening (that's the simple version)
