If You Could Time Travel, Would You Go Back or Forward?

Jane London, of the Dom and Jane Morning Show on Mix100, wrote a blog post in which she pondered if she could travel through time would she go forward or back. If you could only pick one direction, what would you choose and why?

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

FM talk radio? Thanks for the lead, I am looking into it.

Re your question. I just skimmed her post but it looks like she is more about if you could go back and change a cusp of your life which is quite a different question than going back or forward for a look-see.

Anyway that is my skim based take away. Does anyone know if this station is available via Direct TV?

Mix100 is here in Denver, if you have a radio it's frequency 100.3. I don't know about DirecTV, but you can also listen to the live stream on the internet: http://player.tritondigital.com/12041

I left my question wide open on purpose - you don't have to necessarily want to go back in order to change something, you can just go back to watch something happen. Perhaps you want a different, older perspective of something momentous in your life, or want to view a historic event, or just see a loved one you've lost. It can be for any reason, not be your own life events, and be as far back as you'd like (I wouldn't recommend too early in the planet's history, unless you have a worthy space vehicle - the conditions will kill ya pretty quickly).

Both? If not, I would like to go forward in five year increments to see how the world develops or devolves.
Will the problems we are trying to solve be the right ones?

I would love to go forward and read the history of our species expansion into the galaxy ah la Heinlein or Asimov or a Pournelle but I am a coward. I am afraid a trip to the future would show our species enslaved by a race of intelligent carrots from the vegetable galaxy.

So I will opt for the historical past as my life is an open book to me.

Maybe event 0 at Area 51?

It would be interesting to go back to historical events and see what they got wrong, or deliberately lied about.

:faint: Definitely I would not want to go back in time or go forward.
If I go forward as I am aging...I know what is going to happen and going forward will on hasten the inevitable.

I would rather stay current as I don't repeat history, don't want to know the future as current is a for sure event. :faint:

Forward. Want to see how long it takes for the USA to mass destruct under irresponsible leadership.

If Republicans took over leadership our future government will surely self destruct! :violin:
