5280 Fire.Com is featuring a lot of great photos and a story on Elk Creek Fire Department's Wet Down Ceremony on the front page of their web site. It's really nice that they sent a photographer up to cover the event. All of us at Elk Creek are very proud of the new engine and very grateful to the community for making its purchase possible.
Conifer Mountain has never been better protected. Not only does Station 3 have the first new engine in its history, but we have a great crew of firefighters, paramedics and EMTs living on the mountain, including Chief McLaughlin.
I am very proud to be a member of the Elk Creek Fire Department. It's an honor to serve this community and I am very grateful for the opportunity.
