I made the rounds today, got fuel, groceries, and other must haves for an extended stay in my home at the mercy of Mother Nature. So far the barometric pressure has only gone down, it's still way too warm for snow, and I saw the sun for most of an hour today.
I don't mean to mock any of the weather forecasters, I know it's hard to tell what will happen with the weather in Colorado, especially in the spring and fall. At the same time I'm tempted to throw the equivalent of a hurricane party right here in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. I'd love nothing more than to wake up on Monday morning, look out the window and know there's no need to even call the office because there's no way any of the road are open. So far I'm not seeing any evidence that we will get much if any snow at all.
Come on Mother Nature, let'r rip! One last blast of snow before we all have to suffer through the heat of late spring, summer, and early fall!
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
My hyacinths and crocuses are flipping you the bird right now for your awful thoughts and wishes! LOL
We spent the day bringing down 5 dead trees and cutting them up so we could work inside tomorrow. It sure did feel nice to hang out comfortably on the deck afterwards, I'm so ready for spring!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
My crab apple tree and ornamental pear tree are both in full bloom; a big wet snow storm will not be good for them. So be it, I can burn the broken limbs and the land will benefit from the extra moisture. I'll take a hit for the team...
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Was working in the city for the BIG 82' storm......MISSED the early 02(?) storm, was out of state.
S0-0-0, I'm with you......bring it on!......when the sun comes out again, it's just to take
your breath away....IMPOSSIBLE BRILLIANT blue sky against the sparkling snow, that MELTS
away within days.....leaving a refreshed earth.....ah yes.....SPRING in the Rockies....nothing
like it! :Sunshine: :Sunshine: :Sunshine: :Sunshine:
I think Mother Nature forgot to set her alarm clock today, it's been snizzleing (snow, drizzle mix, not a Snoop Dog word) all day and it's just now starting to snow for real. If the temps get a bit cooler we just might get a little bit of snow out of this front after all.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
