The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners is hosting a telephone town hall on April 21, 6:30-7:30 p.m., to discuss retail marijuana in unincorporated Jefferson County.

Approximately 50,000 random phone numbers of residents in unincorporated Jeffco will be called to participate or simply listen to the meeting.

If you do not receive an invitation phone call, you can still participate. A phone number will be made available on www.jeffco.us/townhall prior to the meeting for people to call in.

The hour-long phone conversation will include polling questions, live discussions with the commissioners and county staff, and most importantly the commissioners will be taking questions from callers.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
