I am not on facebook but I have seen pages and the like button. In the courthouse there are often times when there is something well said and it seems ridiculous to do a quote and use the 'like' smilies repeatedly. If someone has already said it, it makes no sense to repeat. Liking would give an indication that it was read and appreciated.

I'm hoping you can help by giving us a piece of your mind! If you could have any feature(s) added to the site, what would it be? For example, a mobile version has been requested in the past, the ability to rate threads/posts or 'thank' posters, block moderators/admins (that one's mostly been taken care of, fyi), make the logo at the top left a link to the Home Page (done!), change the colors, new emoticons, etc etc.
What do you want that you don't have now? Please post your ideas, brainstorm, get creative! We're continually looking to make this site easier/better for you to use and appreciate the feedback.
Any link you click on that is to an off MMT site, should open in a new browser tab, not replace the MMT page you are on.
Example: When someone posts a link in a comment, say to the New York Times, then that link should open a new tab, not simply load into the same tab of the MMT page you were on.
A mobile version is a website that is adapted for use on a mobile device, such as an iPhone or iPad/other tablet (not just shrinking the website to fit, but actually changing the look and some functions so that it loads faster and is easier to use on a smaller screen because of design features). I detest Tapatalk, both how it works on the front end and especially the back end, so that's out as an option. Going mobile is tough because pages such as the webcam page can't be re-sized, and the right side ad space that the businesses are paying for on the forums would have to go away. Still checking what options we have.
I'll check on the ability to 'Like' posts, I haven't forgotten about it since it was originally brought it up.
Thanks RR, I'd forgotten to remind the developer about that one.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

If you hold the shift key while clicking on the link, it will open in a new window.
If you hold the ctrl key while clicking on a link, it will open a new tab, but not go to that tab.
Will we have to buy one of these units or are there going to be add on kits available? What about folks who only have a laptop or a tablet? Will there be an external USB/Firewire version?
While I'm very interested in the beer to TCP/IP back to beer conversion process, I have some concerns about serving temperatures at the tap...
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Either way preserves the MMT tab.
I right click on the link which gives me a drop down menu with the first selection being "open link in new tab". It would be quicker, though, to just be able to click on the link and have it open in a new tab on its own.

Standard design practice on most forums and websites it is the link takes you off site, it opens in a new tab.
Good design is always to make it possible for the user to do what they need to do in as few keystrokes or key combinations as possible.
It's not hard for MMT's programmer to change this, it may even be a setting in their control panel. Either way, it should only take a minute to change.
