Hey Martin,
When you say you went to "Profile", do you mean the Profile in the User Control Panel at the top right of the forums, or Your Member Profile Page? All of your old PMs from before we upgraded are saved in the User Control Panel, but we don't use the phpBB system for PMs anymore. To access anything since July 12, click on "Community" in the above Menu Bar (yes, we'll be re-naming that), then Select My Profile in the drop-down.
Scroll down the page until you see some version of this, and click Messages:
That should get you to your messages. Alternatively, you can click the Quick Access link under your username showing that you're logged in (mine currently says 'You have no new messages', but if you have any, it will tell you that you have X messages.
If that doesn't get you to your messages, please give me a call and talk me through what you're seeing.
